Our 5th graders took an amazing field trip to Costco of Grandville this week! They were able to get a behind the scenes tour of the building including the loading docks. They were able to see the large fork lifts and other machines used to unload items into the store. They also had a close look at the photo lab. They took some pictures and learned how they used different chemicals and inks to develop photos. Each child received a Costco employee name tag and even completed a little math. They had to u201Cshop and buyu201D a list of basic necessities and stay within the budget range of $160-$180 dollars. They also learned many Costco fun facts! Including u2026 If Costco of Grandville (just the Grandville store alone) lined up the amount of toilet paper rolls they sell in one year, they could circle the our planet Earth 3 times!
